Apple Releases Updates for GarageBand and iMovie

A few minutes ago Apple released an update to iMovie and GarageBand, which reach version 9.0.1 and 6.0.1, respectively. The GarageBand update improves the overall stability and performances of the app, removes latency on certain guitar tracks and fixes issues related to Flex Time edits. It is a recommended update for all GarageBand users and it’s a 47.5 MB available in Software Update now or on Apple’s website.

iMovie 9.0.1 fixes an issue with stabilization not applying correctly to videos shot on the iPhone and iPod touch, improves performances in the Project library and improves compatibility with cameras that record videos in multiple formats. It’s a 27.5 MB update available in Software Update or on Apple’s website.

About GarageBand 6.0.1

This update improves overall stability, and addresses compatibility and a number of other minor issues.

Fixes an issue related to undoing Flex Time edits

Removes occasional latency that can occur on guitar tracks

Restores ability to use the Quantize Note Timing menu for tracks with Groove Matching

This update is recommended for all GarageBand ‘11 users.

About iMovie 9.0.1

This update improves stability and fixes other minor issues, including:

Fixes an issue where stabilization would not be applied correctly to some video clips from iPhone and iPod touch.

Fixes an issue that prevented use of some valid Facebook passwords that contained non-alphanumeric characters.

Improves compatibility with some cameras that create content in multiple formats.

Improves performance when scrolling the Project Library.

This update is recommended for all users of iMovie 9.0.
